Can I bring my own children and partner?

Yes. We offer the following special concessionary discounts for Party Leaders depending on the package type you have booked.

European courses by coach : 50% off the basic brochure price for up to 2 children or the Party Leader’s partner plus one child.

European courses by air : 25% off the basic brochure price for up to 2 children or the Party Leader’s partner plus one child.

USA ski courses : £100 off the basic brochure price for up to 2 children or the Party Leader’s partner plus one child.

Concessions are subject to a minimum group size of 32 full paying and extras will be charged at full price including older pupil and adult lift pass supplements.

Can I visit the resort before I take my group?

All SKiCLASS Party Leaders of 42 full paying are entitled to a FREE preview visit. This can be taken in 3 different ways

1. Join our Teachers, Family and Friends trips in order to experience the SKiCLASS operation and meet some of our team.
2. Join a group going to resort and spend a week sampling the accommodation, skiing and surrounding area.
3. Take a trip at your chosen time of year for your preferred duration.

We will arrange your visit for you and pay for your transport and accommodation if joining an existing course. If you prefer a tailor-made option we will contribute to the cost. (Please ask for further details). We would be happy to assist Party Leaders in making arrangements even if they do not achieve minimum numbers.

Prospective Party Leaders will have £329 refunded should they go on to book a SKiCLASS course for 42 full paying.

How secure is the money that we have paid?

We are an ABTA member and have a full ATOL licence. Both of these bonds provide you with complete financial protection and enable you to book with us with full confidence. Further more we guarantee that no currency surcharges will be added to your ski course cost, provided that the booking conditions and payment schedules are adhered to.

Do you offer free places for supervising adults?

We offer very generous free places ratios:

Bronze package by coach – 1:10

Bronze package by air – 1:15

Silver & Gold package by coach – 1:7 if 42 full paying (otherwise 1:8)

Silver & Gold package by air – 1:10

We would be happy to alter your package should you require more or fewer free places.

I need to complete a Tour Operators (or Independent Providers) form for the LEA, can you help?

Our Operations Team are here to support you with your booking every step of the way. We have established relationships with many LEA's from all over the country during the many years we have been operating, and you may well find that SKiCLASS is already approved as a Tour Operator by your LEA.

Our comprehensive Safety Management System covers all aspects of your trip from the recruitment and monitoring of SKiCLASS personnel, to our accident and emergency procedures, to the aspects covered in the safety audits of the transport companies and Hotels used by your group. Copies of our Safety Audit forms and a set of Generic Risk Assessments are contained within the SMS. As a member of the Schools Travel Forum our Safety Management Systems are themselves independently inspected and verified.

I need to complete a risk assessment and other forms for the LEA, can you help?

Our Operations Team are here to support you with your booking every step of the way. We are approved by LEA’s from all over the country as we have been taking schools from their areas for years. We can provide risk assessments and our Safety Management System, which has been independently inspected and verified. As Assured Members of the School Travel Forum we audit the main aspects of your trip, including coach companies and accommodation.

What happens if I have a problem or further questions?

Our dedicated team are on hand throughout your booking to help you every step of the way. In addition each SkiClass group is provided with their own dedicated Rep which means you will have support throughout your trip including liaising with suppliers and arranging and delivering your evening entertainments. Our Operations Team are on call 24 hours a day whilst you are in resort.

Do I need a qualification to lead a ski trip?

Not usually but this varies between LEA’s. We offer a free Ski Course Organisers course to all Party Leaders. We also run Alpine Ski Leaders Awards which takes place in resort over 6 days. This is offered FREE for all Party Leaders of groups of 42 full paying. Paying places are also available.

What about snow clothing?

We have links with some of the biggest and most respected specialist ski clothing retailers and hirers - we would be happy to put you in contact with them prior to your trip. Many will even visit and do presentation for Parents Evenings.

Will our children have something tangible to show for their trip?

We give every one of our customers a SKiCLASS certificate for either their skiing or their snowboarding ability. Furthermore we can organise Snowsport England certificates for those schools wanting them.
